Inpatient Rehabilitation Therapist

Location: Richmond, VA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8-hour shifts between 7 AM and 5 PM, with rotating weekends.

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Inpatient Rehabilitation Therapist with at least 2 years of experience in a hospital setting. The therapist will be part of a dynamic rehab team, providing exceptional care to patients with stroke and other neurological conditions. Knowledge of manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional activities is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Implement therapeutic exercises and manual therapy interventions.
• Utilize neuromuscular re-education techniques and functional electrical stimulation.
• Support patient self-care and functional activity goals.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient rehabilitation outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital and inpatient rehab setting.
• Proven experience with stroke evaluation and treatment.
• Active and valid license to practice as a therapist in the applicable state.
