Working closely with the Chief Engineer, you'll help lead a talented facilities team in delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable building operations that create exceptional experiences for occupants and clients alike. We embrace more innovative ways of working and prioritize opportunities to strengthen and advance your career, making this an ideal position for an engineering professional ready to take the next step in their leadership journey.What Your Day-To-Day Will Look Like:Assist the Chief Engineer in managing daily operations of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems to ensure optimal performance and regulatory complianceSupervise and coordinate maintenance staff and contractors to ensure timely and effective completion of work orders and preventive maintenance activitiesMonitor and maintain building automation systems to optimize energy efficiency and operational performance while reducing environmental impactConduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues before they become problems, ensuring proactive maintenance and minimizing downtimeSupport the implementation of sustainability initiatives and compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations that align with JLL's commitment to shaping the future of real estate for a better worldRespond to emergency situations and provide technical expertise to resolve building-related problems with urgency while protecting occupant safety and building integrityMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventories, and compliance documentation using computerized maintenance management systemsCollaborate with property management, vendors, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality facility services that create exceptional client experiencesParticipate in training and development programs to stay current with industry best practices and JLL standards while supporting each other's wellbeing and professional growthRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field preferredMinimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in building engineering, facilities maintenance, or property operations with demonstrated technical expertiseStrong working knowledge of commercial building systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation/controlsValid stationary engineer license, universal EPA certification, or other relevant trade certifications as required by local jurisdictionProven leadership experience including supervising technical staff, managing contractors, and coordinating maintenance activities across multiple prioritiesProficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent problem-solving abilities with strong analytical skills to diagnose complex technical issues and implement effective solutionsOutstanding communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, tenants, vendors, and team members at all levelsPhysical ability to perform facility inspections, climb ladders, work in mechanical spaces, and respond to after-hours emergencies as neededPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related disciplineExperience in commercial real estate, corporate facilities, or property management environments managing Class A office buildings or mixed-use propertiesAdvanced certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Building Operator Certification (BOC), or similar professional credentialsDemonstrated experience with energy management programs, sustainability initiatives, and LEED-certified buildingsFamiliarity with building automation systems from major manufacturers (e.g., Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, Tridium)Experience managing capital improvement projects from planning through implementation including budget development and stakeholder coordinationKnowledge of OSHA regulations, local building codes, and environmental compliance requirements relevant to commercial facilitiesThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
