Reports To: Community Resources Director Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Schedule: Approximately 37–40 hours per week; occasional evening or weekend work may be required Compensation: $50,000–$55,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience Location: CRRC of Canyon Lake Resource Center Community Pathways Manager The Community Pathways Manager helps Canyon Lake residents address immediate hardship while identifying practical pathways toward improved household well-being. This position manages CRRC’s financial assistance and intensive case-management services, including rental and utility assistance, Step Forward, benefits navigation, referrals, follow-up, and community education. This role extends beyond processing applications. The Manager works alongside residents to understand their circumstances, identify strengths and barriers, establish achievable goals, and connect them with meaningful resources. The Manager also maintains program data, evaluates outcomes, identifies community trends, and helps CRRC strengthen its services, partnerships, and educational efforts. Essential Responsibilities Client Assistance and Case Management Provide compassionate, person-centered assistance to residents experiencing financial hardship, housing concerns, utility disconnection, or other barriers. Assess household needs, strengths, resources, barriers, and eligibility for assistance. Coordinate financial assistance in accordance with CRRC policies, funder requirements, grant restrictions, and available funding. Develop individualized action plans for residents needing support beyond a one-time financial intervention. Lead intensive case management through Step Forward and other assigned programs. Conduct follow-up to monitor progress, address barriers, support client goals, and reduce repeated crisis. Help residents navigate public benefits, healthcare, employment services, budgeting resources, digital access, and other supports. Make informed referrals and coordinate with partner organizations as needed. Protect client confidentiality, dignity, choice, and right to self-determination. Program Management and Community Education Manage CRRC’s financial assistance, homelessness-prevention, Step Forward, and intensive case-management programs. Ensure services are delivered consistently, equitably, and in compliance with organizational and funder requirements. Monitor program spending, service capacity, and available assistance with the Community Resources Director and finance staff. Maintain program procedures, forms, referral resources, documentation standards, and educational materials. Develop or coordinate education related to budgeting, benefits, resource navigation, housing readiness, digital access, and household progress. Coordinate with CRRC’s Food Pantry, Recreation Center, Thrift Store, volunteers, and administrative staff to provide connected support. Build relationships with landlords, utility providers, public agencies, healthcare organizations, funders, and community partners. Represent CRRC at relevant meetings, trainings, outreach activities, and community initiatives. Data, Evaluation, and Reporting Maintain timely and accurate client records in CRRC and funder-required tracking systems. Track financial assistance, household characteristics, needs, referrals, follow-up, participation, and outcomes. Analyze data to identify trends in housing concerns, utility hardship, repeated crisis, service use, and unmet needs. Measure outcomes such as continued housing, prevention of utility disconnection, successful referrals, resolution of hardship, and progress toward client goals. Prepare program summaries, funder reports, internal updates, and data-informed recommendations. Use program data and client experiences to improve services, guide education, strengthen partnerships, and communicate community needs. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, psychology, public administration, nonprofit management, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree. At least three years of experience in case management, social services, housing or financial assistance, benefits navigation, community education, or a related field. Experience maintaining confidential records and accurate documentation. Strong assessment, problem-solving, organization, communication, and follow-through skills. Ability to balance compassionate service with program requirements, professional boundaries, and responsible stewardship of funds. Proficiency with Microsoft Office or comparable software, including spreadsheets and data tracking. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional local travel. Preferred Experience with intensive case management, homelessness prevention, rental or utility assistance, public benefits, food insecurity, or rural social services. Experience developing educational workshops, managing grant-funded programs, analyzing data, or completing funder reports. Familiarity with Charity Tracker, Oasis, or similar client-management systems. Knowledge of Canyon Lake, Comal County, and regional resources. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills. Employment Statement This full-time, non-exempt position is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law and CRRC policy. The position is supported in part through grant funding.
