About the Role:

The Mortgage LP and Closer plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and timely closing of mortgage loans. This position is responsible for conducting thorough loan package reviews to identify and resolve any discrepancies or compliance issues before closing. The role requires close collaboration with loan officers, underwriters, title companies, and borrowers to facilitate a smooth and efficient closing process. The ultimate goal is to deliver a seamless closing experience that meets all regulatory requirements and satisfies all parties involved. This position demands a detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple files simultaneously while maintaining high standards of accuracy and customer service.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mortgage loan processing, loan closing, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage loan products, investor guidelines, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with mortgage loan origination systems and closing software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification such as Certified Mortgage Processor (CMP) or Certified Residential Mortgage Specialist (CRMS).
• Experience working with a variety of loan types including FHA, VA, and conventional loans.
• Familiarity with RESPA, TILA, and other relevant federal and state regulations.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with electronic closing platforms and digital document management.

Responsibilities:

• Review loan files for compliance with investor guidelines, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and resolve any loan package discrepancies or missing documentation prior to closing.
• Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, title companies, and borrowers to schedule and facilitate loan closings.
• Prepare and review closing disclosures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
• Maintain detailed records of loan closings and ensure all documentation is properly executed and filed.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to provide updates and resolve any issues that arise during the closing process.
• Assist in post-closing activities, including document delivery and audit support.
