Information Assurance Engineer

Salary: $118,570 - 125,054 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in engineering, or a related science or mathematics discipline, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a masters degree plus at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• We require the ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance at the time of hire.
• We require that applicants be U.S. citizens due to the nature of the work.
• We are looking for experience in cyber security requirements analysis, security requirements definition, survivability and cyber resilience analysis, system security design, security architecture development, security trade studies, and security verification and validation.
• We value experience developing system security requirements, allocating them to lower levels, and producing traceability matrices.
• We prefer familiarity with MBSE models, Digital Engineering, Mission Based Cybersecurity Risk Assessment approaches, Trusted Systems and Networks analysis, and supply chain risk management.
• We look for experience with DevSecOps and familiarity with vulnerability and code analysis scanning tools.
• We require CISSP or an equivalent certification.
• We expect strong knowledge of cyber security technologies, trends, architectural patterns, and relevant government standards and guidance such as RMF, NIST 800-53, STIGs, and Cyber Survivability Endorsement guidance.
• We seek excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong reporting ability, effective coordination skills, and a creative, multi-tasking mindset.

• We support cyber security requirements analysis, security requirements definition, survivability and cyber resilience analysis, system security design, security architecture generation, security trade studies, and security verification and validation with limited supervision.
• We analyze customer security needs and translate them into system security requirements, including allocation to subsystems, elements, and components.
• We provide cybersecurity inputs to MBSE models and Digital Engineering efforts.
• We assess and mitigate system security threats and risks across the program life cycle to help develop cyber-survivable systems.
• We research vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to evaluate the security of designs.
• We identify opportunities to apply AI to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• We select and implement appropriate cyber standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to produce security engineering deliverables.
• We help develop required security documentation, including security plans, risk assessments, mitigation reports, and security test plans and procedures.
• We support RMF evidence development, including system risk assessments, security plans, security testing artifacts, Security Control Traceability Matrices, and System Impact Analyses.
• We support Assessment and Authorization activities and the preparation of the cyber package leading to Authority to Operate approval.
• We assist with security testing and evaluation, including static and dynamic code analysis scanning and penetration testing.
• We communicate issues, impacts, and corrective actions affecting cyber design and implementation, and coordinate with project leaders, customer leadership, engineering teams, and project teams.
