Certified Medical Assistant - Pediatrics

SNI Companies is seeking Certified Medical Assistants to join a great organization in the Jacksonville, FL area! Active CMA and BLS certifications required.

Job Summary
The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) supports providers and nursing staff by performing clinical and administrative duties to ensure efficient patient flow, high-quality care, and a positive patient experience. The CCMA plays a vital role in patient safety, clinical accuracy, and compassionate care delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, update medication lists, allergies, and medical histories
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
• Perform specimen collection, EKGs, injections, and point-of-care testing
• Administer medications and immunizations per provider orders
• Maintain sterile technique and follow infection-control protocols
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, and suture removal when applicable
• Assist with minor procedures and patient education
• Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Assist with patient flow to reduce wait times and ensure efficient clinic operations
• Ensure all rooms are stocked, clean, and compliant with safety standards
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic policies at all times

Pay Rate:

• $18.00 - $21.00 an hour (increase after 90 days)

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program required
• CMA and BLS Certifications required
• Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
• Must be able to pass background check and drug test

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM (on-site)
