Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)Virginia Beach, VAFirst (Days)JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a physician practice or clinic supports providers and registered nurses in delivering direct patient care in the ambulatory setting. The role rooms patients, gathers and records health information, measures vital signs, administers medications and immunizations, collects blood specimens, and performs simple diagnostic tests. The LPN prepares patients and rooms for examinations, assists with procedures, and provides patient education and follow-up instructions within scope. Working closely with the care team, the LPN helps manage patient flow, responds to messages and refill requests under provider direction, and may direct the work of medical assistants and aides.
