Laboratory Technician

Eurofins seeks a Laboratory Technician to perform diagnostic testing and specimen analysis under supervisor direction in Lenexa, Kansas. The role involves sample preparation, equipment operation, data management, and maintenance of laboratory standards and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Examine samples for validity, type, and volume requirements prior to testing
• Perform sample preparation and specimen pipetting with precision; operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment
• Prepare reagents and materials; maintain supply inventory and process timelines
• Document quality assurance, troubleshooting, maintenance activities, and enter data into LIMS
• Store and retrieve specimens appropriately; ensure clean, sterile work areas and compliance with safety standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in biological, physical, chemical science, or related field with specified coursework
• Minimum 1 year data entry experience preferred
• Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred
• Experience or formal training with potentially infectious human blood and bodily fluids preferred
• Proficiency with automated and manual laboratory platforms and aseptic techniques
• Intermediate PC software and database skills; ability to read and interpret SOPs and protocols
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship requirement; excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills
