AI Application Engineer

We are seeking an AI Engineer to join our Managed Services team. You will design, integrate, and deploy AI solutions—including agentic applications, LLM inference, similarity search, guardrails, and model evaluation— to improve workflows and scalability, and to optimize the deployment, operation, and upgrade of InterSystems cloud solutions. This role is ideal for a strong software engineer passionate about applying AI to real-world challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build prototypes and deliver production-ready solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy AI software components, including agentic applications, LLM inference, foundation model training, and AI-powered development tools. Build AI-driven tools to improve the deployment, operation, and upgrade of InterSystems cloud solutions. Evaluate and integrate agentic AI platforms into coding, testing, CI/CD, and operational workflows. Lead proofs-of-concept, prototypes, and internal tooling to improve cloud-based service delivery. Partner with cross-functional teams to drive AI adoption and best practices. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in software engineering or platform engineering roles. Experience building AI/ML solutions—such as agentic applications, LLM inference, similarity search, vector databases, guardrails, or memory systems. Strong coding skills in Python or other languages such as C++ or ObjectScript. Expertise in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or private cloud) and containerization technologies. Preferred Qualifications Experience with AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Tabnine, Replit) Background in DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
