Position Title: Senior TOC Analyst - Tier 3

Location: Richmond, VA (Remote)

Pay Rate: $55/hr on W2

Position Description:

Join a dynamic team as a Senior TOC Analyst - Tier 3, focusing on advanced troubleshooting, incident management, and monitoring optimization within a fast-paced technology environment. This REMOTE position offers an exciting opportunity to lead major incident responses, fine-tune monitoring tools like SolarWinds, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence. Work with leading edge monitoring and observability solutions, develop documentation, and mentor junior analysts. This contract-to-hire role is ideal for experienced IT professionals seeking to make a significant impact in banking and financial services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex issues detected through monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, Splunk, and telemetry.
• Lead technical triage during major incidents, utilizing tools and logs to diagnose and resolve outages effectively.
• Optimize monitoring dashboards, alert thresholds, and service maps for proactive detection.
• Identify gaps in existing monitoring setups and collaborate with engineering teams to onboard new systems.
• Develop and maintain runbooks, diagnostic guides, and network topology documentation.
• Coordinate incident resolution efforts with Infrastructure, Cloud, Network, and Application teams.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams.
• Support disaster recovery exercises and validate monitoring readiness.
• Maintain thorough documentation and communicate incident updates clearly.

Top Requirements:

• 5+ years of IT operations or TOC/NOC experience.
• Extensive hands-on SolarWinds experience (NPM, NTA, SAM, alert tuning, dashboards).
• Proven Tier 3 troubleshooting expertise across networks, servers, cloud environments, virtualization, and applications.
• Strong incident management skills, including leading outages and technical triage.
• Deep observability expertise using SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, Splunk, telemetry, and analytics.
• Broad understanding of infrastructure troubleshooting across the entire stack.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills (runbooks, escalation procedures, incident reports).
• Experience mentoring Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Banking or financial services experience.
• Relevant certifications such as ITIL v4, CCNA, Network+, SolarWinds SCP.
• Scripting and automation skills.
• Familiarity with SIEM and security event correlation.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and occasional travel; rotating after-hours on-call support.
