CMA - Family Health Center - Full Time

Certified Medical Assistant

Under the direct supervision of the Clinic Manager performs selected patient-care tasks for patients of all ages, gender, cultures, and backgrounds in the clinic setting. In addition, laboratory and office duties are performed as needed. This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Successful completion of medical assistant education with a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited program and certification with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (RMA), or National Association for Health Professionals (NRCMA) within 6 months of hire. or Current CMA certification with the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), or National Healthcareer Association (CCMA) and completion of a medical assistant education program approved by Broadlawns Medical Center. a. Staff continuously employed in a CMA position with Broadlawns Medical Center as of September 1, 2025, will maintain qualifications as listed at the time of hire. 2. Ability to satisfactorily complete Broadlawns Medical Center Pharmacology requirements prior to providing care independently. 3. Ability to successfully pass Basic Life Support Certification (Health Care Provider), if not already current with certification, prior to providing care independently.
