Associate Attorney - Asbestos Defense

Position Summary Our firm is seeking a highly motivated, junior level Associate Attorney specializing in Asbestos Defense to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a successful, growing legal practice and work with a team of professionals committed to delivering high-quality legal services. Responsibilities Manage a caseload of asbestos defense cases from inception through to resolution. Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support case preparation. Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests. Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiations. Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies and prepare for trial. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal developments related to asbestos and toxic tort law. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations in all legal proceedings. Provide exceptional client service, including regular status updates and prompt responses to inquiries. Qualifications Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the New York State Bar. 2-4 years of experience in asbestos defense. Proven track record of successfully managing a diverse caseload. Exceptional legal research and writing skills. Strong negotiation and advocacy skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and professional integrity. Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
