Phlebotomist (Kansas City, MO)

Location: Missouri, United States Sector: Health & Safety Salary: $45,000.00 to $57,000.00 per year Phlebotomist (Kansas City, MO) Innova Solutions has immediate needs for Phlebotomists (of all levels) to support the Kansas City, MO area! As a Phlebotomist, your responsibilities include: Collecting specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams. Administering oral solutions according to established training. Researching test/client information and confirming and verifying all written and electronic orders by utilizing lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools. Navigating a computer and accurately entering data. Obtaining identification and accurately entering billing information and collecting payments when required, following corporate policies. Processing specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport as required by test order. Performing all non-patient facing duties, including inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and utilizing email as appropriate. Reading, understanding, and complying with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures. Assisting with the compilation and submission of statistics and data when required. Maintaining all appropriate phlebotomy logs in a timely manner and based on frequency, such as maintenance logs and temperature logs. Completing online and in-person training courses timely. Required Work Experience: Phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. Keyboard/data entry experience. Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable. Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomist certification required.
