2nd Shift Dispatcher/Customer Service

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Emergency Dispatch: Answer incoming calls, emails, and digital portal requests from stranded over-the-road (OTR) drivers.
Vendor Coordination: Assign local mobile mechanics, repair shops, or tow trucks to breakdown sites immediately.
Real-Time Tracking: Monitor the progress of service providers and communicate repair ETAs to drivers and fleet managers.
Problem Solving: Handle unexpected delays or complex mechanical roadside issues efficiently. [1, 2, 3]

Requirements & Skills

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Prior customer service, logistics, or dispatch experience (transportation industry background is a strong plus).
Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills to handle high-stress situations.
Tech Skills: Comfortable using computer systems, multi-line phones, and digital tracking software
