Quality Inspector Senior - Electrical (First Shift) - Millennium Space Systems

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Quality Inspector to join our dynamic team in El Segundo, California. Position Responsibilities Read and interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications; perform inspections using tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, multimeters, UV light sources, microscopes, precision scales, and digital cameras to verify dimensional, electrical, and workmanship requirements. Perform detailed receiving inspections of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and sub‑assemblies, including: Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) and Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA) Conformal coating and staking applications Electro‑mechanical assemblies Wire harnesses and cable assemblies, verifying routing, terminations, crimps, shielding, labeling, continuity, and workmanship Review documentation requirements such as Certificates of Conformance, test, process, material, dimensional, and First Article Inspection reports. Accurately document inspection results, flag non‑conformances, and collaborate with quality and engineering teams for resolution. Drive resolution of non‑conforming material, ensuring timely MRB actions and cross‑team coordination. Process inspection results and material transactions in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Production) to resolve issues and improve processes. Assist in training quality and production personnel to ensure compliance with product quality standards and quality system requirements. Ensure all measurement and testing equipment is properly calibrated and operates within established tolerances. Identify bottlenecks, process gaps, and select continuous improvement projects to enhance quality and/or efficiency. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. Shift This position is primarily 1st shift; however, additional shifts may be required to support program objectives. Candidates must be able to work any assigned shift. Union Hourly, union‑represented position governed by the Cabinet Makers, Millmen and Industrial Carpenters Union (CMM&IC Local 721). New hires and employees transferring from non‑union roles may be required to attend or complete training within a 90‑day probationary period; continued employment is contingent on successful completion. Security Clearance This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; the U.S. Government requires U.S. citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance is required post‑start. Basic Qualifications Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. More than 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance and inspection. More than 3 years of experience with ESD, IPC J‑STD‑001, and IPC‑A‑610 standards. More than 3 years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications. More than 1 year of experience using basic Microsoft Office and office computing systems. Capable of lifting 20 lbs or more frequently. Ability to stand and move (reach, bend, or stoop) to handle products for extended periods with only short breaks. Preferred Qualifications More than 1 year of experience reading and interpreting aerospace engineering drawings and blueprints. More than 3 years of experience using electronic, dimensional, and physical test equipment. More than 3 years of experience with hand tools such as calipers, digital optical micrometers, depth gages, thread gages, go/no‑go gages, etc. More than 3 years of experience performing Material Review Board (MRB) product reviews. More than 3 years of experience with Non‑conformance (NCR) processes. Experience with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standards. Active IPC certification (610/620/600). Conflict of Interest Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
