RN House Supervisor — Lead On‑Site (Part‑Time)

Overview Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. Role Purpose The House Supervisor is delegated the authority for administrative supervision of patient care and other hospital departments, serving as a representative of Administration in the absence of the Administrator during off shifts. The role acts as a liaison with departments, consults with the Administrator on call to handle unusual circumstances, resource needs, and investigates clinical problems or complaints. Responsibilities Manages, hires, trains, assigns work, evaluates performance, and conducts professional development plans for staff. Supervises safe and appropriate patient care across the organization and acts as on‑site leader during special circumstances. Assists with patient care operations and integration of services between departments. Provides clinical development support: observing and coaching staff, monitoring compliance with regulatory guidelines, and maintaining unit standards. Serves as liaison between Administration and all departments and customers. Participates in departmental staffing, revenue, and expense budgeting, with direct responsibility for meeting budget goals and responding to business changes. Minimum Requirements Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree. Experience: 2–5 years in nursing. Supervisor Experience: Minimum 2 years. Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN). Preferred Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Experience: 5–10 years in nursing.
