Required Certification Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant Certificate NJ Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education (Grades K-6) Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Teacher of the Handicapped (preferred) Successful Candidates Must Possess the Following A passion for student success Ability conducting evaluations and completing written reports Strong background in teaching literacy concepts, including fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary acquisition In-depth knowledge of and experience with the NJ Student Learning Standards Experience analyzing data and differentiating instruction to meet the needs of individual learners Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth Experience working collaboratively as part of a Child Study Team Strong communication skills with parents/guardians Knowledge of applicable federal and state special education laws and regulations Knowledge of and experience using assessment tools such as the WJ-V and WIAT-4 Salary Range $64,785 - $65,535 Benefits This position includes eligibility for health insurance, paid sick and personal days, and enrollment in the Teachers' Pension and Annuity Fund.
