About Us: Sun Recycling's Materials Collection Facility is a facility specialized in receiving, separating, and preparing recyclable materials for sale to end-use factories. Established in October 2013, it is conveniently located in Beltsville, Maryland. Sun Recycling specializes in LEED projects. We operate as a zero-landfill facility and provide LEED credits to our customers. A detail-oriented team player. Seeking full-time employment in a predominately outdoors environment with opportunities for growth and development. An individual who is coachable, and eager to learn. About the position: A Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the following:
- Operate heavy equipment machinery in a strategic manner
- Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment
- Identify waste type for materials processing
- Direct on-site truck traffic
- Maintain consistent communication via two-way radios and hand signals
- Perform all tasks in a safe and timely manner
- Provide customer service
- Upkeep the general cleanliness of the facility

- Front End Articulating Loader Experience
- Komatsu 270, 320, 380
- John Deere 190 DW
- Stand and walk during a significant portion of their shift
- Lift, push, and pull 50-75lbs
- Maintain 3 consciousness of peripheral safety hazards
- Operate heavy equipment machinery
