Directional Drill Operator

Hunt Electric, Inc. is looking for a Directional Drill Operator, responsible for running a variety of directional drilling equipment. As a Directional Drill Operator, you will operate and maintain directional drilling equipment (Vermeer and/or Ditch Witch), a vacuum truck, mud truck, excavator, forklift, dump truck, and others not listed. The position requires a strong focus on safety, including reading and following company policies, attending safety meetings, and completing required training such as MSHA and OSHA. Required Skills Minimum 1 year of experience operating a directional drill (Vermeer and/or Ditch Witch). Experience drilling in standard and high‑risk areas, including those with live utilities. Knowledge of utility depths and placement. General knowledge of construction practices and familiarity with equipment, including routine service and maintenance (washing, checking fluids, tire pressures, grease, etc.). Commitment to maintaining equipment and assets in good repair and secure. Ability to read blueprints and use blue stakes for marked utilities. Basic computer skills for developing and maintaining bore logs. Strong math and organizational skills for managing excavation resources. Other duties or locations as assigned by manager. Required Qualifications Valid Utah Class A CDL License with no restrictions. Clean driving record. Pass a background check.
