Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $53.00 to $58.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full accounts payable function, ensuring invoices, payments, and vendor transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- Manage payment cycles, account reconciliations, and exception resolution while maintaining efficient workflow execution.
- Review transaction coding, inventory-related payables, and account allocations to support accurate financial reporting.
- Partner with internal and external accounting resources to coordinate priorities, resolve issues, and improve operational effectiveness.
- Identify process improvement opportunities, strengthen controls, and support automation initiatives within the accounts payable function.
- Previous experience as an Accounts Payable Manager, Senior Accounts Payable Lead, or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong experience managing high-volume accounts payable operations within a fast-paced business environment.
- Advanced proficiency with NetSuite and Microsoft Excel.
- Extensive knowledge of three-way matching, vendor payments, account coding, and 1099 reporting requirements.
- Prior experience working with inventory-driven accounting environments and supporting cross-functional accounting operations.
- Previous experience within consumer products, retail, e-commerce, manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, or other inventory-intensive industries.
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and take ownership of critical accounting processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills with experience collaborating across departments and remote teams.
- Hands-on leader with a proactive approach to process improvement, issue resolution, and operational efficiency.
