Project EngineerAs a Project Engineer, you will join a project team tasked with the responsibility for all technical and engineering aspects of your project. You will lead daily coordination between our clients, trade partners, engineers, architects, and our employees. The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, scheduling, predicting, and managing all the technical tasks to assure accuracy, proper resources, and quality for the lifecycle of the project.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the Project Managers in purchasing activities including scoping and take-offsPrepare and forward submittals; confirm submittal complies with plans/specsSupport the development and updating of the project schedule and subcontractor detail schedulesPlay a lead role in the development of project plansMonitor and expedite material deliveries ensuring all deliveries conform with the project scheduleReview change proposals from trade partners and negotiate as appropriateFacilitate with the Project Manager and Superintendent in the coordination of drawingsDraft change orders. Solicit prices from subcontractors and suppliers. Perform scope take-off and estimate costsLead close out of project; includes assembling manuals and other warranties for turnover to owner and preparation final payment documents for subcontractorsDevelop and lead training sessions for your team and trade partnersTake ownership of document management applicationsBasic QualificationsUndergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, a related discipline or relevant work experience2+ years experience in an engineer, project engineer, or a similar role in the construction industryDemonstrated knowledge of scheduling, cost engineering, subcontract coordination, and general project administrationDemonstrated ability reading drawings and specificationsComputer proficient including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products.Exceptional written and verbal communication skillsInterest and passion for building and the industryAlignment to Clark Standards of Excellence: Self-Motivated, Results Oriented, Adaptable, Team Player, Accountable, Ethical, Innovative, Resilient, Builds RelationshipsPreferred QualificationsOSHA 10 certificationProcore experiencePrimavera P6 experienceExperience working for a general contractorThe work environment and requirements described below are representative of those necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.The Physical Side of the Role: This is an active, hands-on role. You can expect to be on your feet frequently, navigating active job sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists. The work is physically demanding and requires a full range of motion, including bending, kneeling, and reaching. You'll need to be comfortable frequently lifting and carrying materials up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. This role requires the ability to communicate effectively, as well as visual acuity for reading plans and inspecting work. The role does include desk time in the office that may require prolonged periods of sitting for tasks like computer work, document review, and meetings.Your Work Environment: You'll spend a significant amount of your time on active construction sites, which means being adaptable to all kinds of weather and moderate to loud noise levels, and comfortable in elevated or confined work areas with moving mechanical equipment and with the fast-paced nature of a project in progress. You will also spend time in a typical office setting with moderate noise levels. For this role the base salary range is $78,000-125,000 Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
