Compensation: 40–50% commission, based on experience and expertise, plus tips
Estimated Earnings: $40–$50 per hour
Schedule: Flexible 6- or 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM
Weekend Availability: Strongly preferred

Always Unleashed is seeking an experienced, dependable dog groomer to join our busy grooming, daycare, and boarding resort in Scottsdale.

We are looking for a skilled professional who takes pride in delivering safe, high-quality grooming services for dogs of all breeds, sizes, coat types, and temperaments. Full-time and part-time schedules are available, with a strong need for weekend availability.

A minimum of three years of professional, hands-on grooming experience is required. Please do not apply without the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-service grooming, including haircuts, baths, blow-dries, brushing, de-shedding, nail trims, ear cleaning, and sanitary trims.
• Complete breed-specific cuts, customized pet trims, and owner-requested styles.
• Safely handle dogs of different sizes, ages, temperaments, and physical limitations.
• Evaluate each dog’s coat condition and recommend safe, realistic grooming options.
• Clearly communicate with clients regarding grooming preferences, matting, skin concerns, and recommended services.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized grooming area.
• Properly sanitize and maintain grooming tools and equipment.
• Complete light cleaning duties, including washing towels and cleaning grooming stations.
• Consistently provide efficient, high-quality results while prioritizing each pet’s safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• At least three years of professional dog-grooming experience.
• Proficient in precision scissor work, shaping, blending, finishing, and creating balanced outlines.
• Skilled in clipper work, guard-comb techniques, sanitary trims, paw-pad trimming, and clean face and foot work.
• Strong knowledge of breed-specific cuts, pet trims, and customized styles.
• Experience working with double, curly, drop, wire, and shedding coats.
• Knowledge of proper bathing, drying, brushing, de-shedding, de-matting, and undercoat-removal techniques.
• Understanding of safe blade selection, clipper techniques, tool sanitation, and equipment maintenance.
• Ability to identify common skin, coat, ear, and nail concerns and communicate them to pet owners.
• Comfortable handling dogs safely throughout every stage of the grooming process.
• Dependable, professional, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Weekend availability is strongly preferred.
• Must provide a professional grooming portfolio or before-and-after photographs of completed grooms.

Relocation Requirement: Must relocate to Scottsdale, AZ 85255 before starting if not already local.
