Job Description

The CT Technologist is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatients and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. This role includes performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging services. The CT Technologist demonstrates proficiency in routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures, including but not limited to CT of the head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, and biopsy/drainage procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized CT scanning procedures.
• Conduct radiographic procedures as directed by departmental protocols.
• Maintain knowledge of processing CT systems and surgical/sterile procedures.
• Handle studies with or without contrast media and demonstrate understanding of cross-sectional anatomy.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of imaging results for diagnostic purposes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited AMA school
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
• Licensed by the state as a general radiographer
• Minimum of 2 years of experience, including prior travel experience
