FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Job Title

The duties of this position include:

Assisting in the performance of functions such as budget formulation and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities; reviewing and budgeting request, controls and reporting of obligation and expenditures of one or more fund types.

Performing account maintenance and accounting support work requiring basic understanding of accounting systems, policies, and procedures to examine, verify and maintain and reconcile accounting data, and prepare reports.

Compiling, consolidating data from source documents, system records, and reports for use in preparing budget estimates and for record keeping in support of audit readiness.

Performing and navigating through multiple financial systems and platforms to perform day-to-day and basic functions within the systems (Navy ERP and General Funds Enterprise Business Systems).

Reviewing execution of assigned department activities on a regular basis to include monitoring obligations and expenditures throughout the life cycle of each appropriation.

Performing routine funds execution of command's total obligation authority by reviewing subordinate funding documents prior to approving funding requests.
