American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Home Health position requiring prior travel nursing experience and a TN or compact license.

Details

• Home Health setting providing intermittent visits to patients in their homes
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Visits typically last 30-45 minutes, with admission visits lasting an hour or more
• Expectation of 6 patient units of productivity per 8-hour day with assigned territories to limit travel distance
• Uses Epic EMR
• Equipment used includes wound vacs, IV pumps, neph tubes, trachs, PICC line supplies, port access supplies, foley catheters, feeding tubes, and ostomy supplies
• Schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 40 hours per week
• No weekend or on-call requirements, though weekend shifts are possible
• No float or charge responsibilities required

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required on file at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Level III trauma experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Reliable personal vehicle required for travel between patient visits

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include nursing assessments, medication management, wound care, disease management, and patient education
• Nurses are assigned specific territories to reduce geographical coverage burden
• Mileage reimbursed per IRS guidelines
• Accepts local candidates at a lower rate
• Radius rule of 75 miles applies for standard travel rate eligibility
