- Fire Alarm HelperAdvantage - Winder, GA 30680## OverviewPosition TypeFull Time## Fire Alarm Helper**Summary**Responsible for assisting fire alarm technicians with the installation, testing, inspection, and maintenance of fire alarm and life safety systems; this entry-level role provides hands-on training and exposure to fire alarm systems while supporting safe, efficient, and code-compliant work in the field.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.* Assist technicians with installation of fire alarm devices, wiring, conduit, and equipment.* Support testing and inspection of fire alarm systems under supervision.* Help identify and document deficiencies or issues discovered during service or inspections.* Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment.* Maintain a clean and safe job site in accordance with company and OSHA safety standards.* Follow project instructions, drawings, and safety procedures.* Assist with system troubleshooting as skills develop.* Participate in required safety meetings and training.**Education and/or Experience**High school diploma and prior construction or electrical experience a plus but not required; basic mechanical or electrical aptitude preferred; ability to obtain required licenses or certifications (as applicable).**Computer Skills**Microsoft, word and basic computer skills.**Physical Demands**Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces; ability to work at heights and on active construction sites; ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; field-based role at commercial and industrial job sites; exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and construction environments; overtime may be required.## What's In It For You?Century Fire Protection is one of the largest and most successful full-service fire protection companies based in the Southeast and we are still growing!
