Sports Merchandise Ops Intern - E-Commerce & Inventory

Position Merchandise Intern – Norfolk Admirals – Summer 2026 Semester (Unpaid internship for academic credit) Overview We are seeking a motivated, dedicated intern to join the Merchandise Department for the Summer 2026 Semester. This entry‑level internship provides hands‑on exposure to merchandise operations, e-commerce, inventory management, and the business side of professional sports. The internship runs from the start of Summer 2026 to September 2026 and primarily involves office and merchandise operations during normal business hours. Flexible scheduling is available based on class schedules and availability. Responsibilities Assist the Merchandise Department with organizing and maintaining inventory. Fulfill and ship online merchandise orders through Shopify. Assist with online merchandise sales and e-commerce operations. Help prepare merchandise displays and organize storage areas. Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with inventory tracking. Work alongside Admirals staff to support day‑to‑day merchandise operations. Assist with special projects related to merchandise and retail initiatives. Complete additional directives as assigned by the Internship Supervisor. Preferred Qualifications Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Interest in sports business, retail, e-commerce, or operations. Willingness to learn Shopify and other merchandise management systems. Ability to lift and move boxes of merchandise when necessary. Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Requirements Actively enrolled in a college or university during the duration of this internship. Eligible to receive academic credit for an internship through your college or university. Understand that this is an unpaid internship for academic credit only. Have reliable transportation to and from the internship site throughout the duration of the internship.
