Job Details Job Location: Springfield, MO 65807 Salary Range: $22.50 Hourly Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Overview The Arc of the Ozarks invites you to join our Residential team as a Shift Supervisor, a semi‑professional position focused on the management and supervision of individuals served in a residential program with developmental disabilities. Training and Support Daily life skills training includes: Cooking Cleaning Hygiene Purchasing groceries Food preparation Medication administration Behavioral care Community participation Management of personal funds Support for direct support professionals (DSPs) and the Intensive Support Learner (ISL) includes assisting the Program Supervisor in: Implementing personal plans Communicating directives Maintaining records and reports Contributing to a therapeutic environment Key Responsibilities Supervise a team of DSPs in daily activities and interventions, ensuring inclusion, quality of life, and self‑determination. Support individuals in dressing, bathing, personal hygiene, house cleaning, laundry, meal planning, medication administration, and community outings. Assist with purchasing groceries and supplies, managing personal funds, and maintaining inventory. Implement crisis response and safety protocols, maintain a safe environment, and ensure incident documentation. Provide training, scheduling assistance, and performance evaluations for staff. Participate in team meetings, review personal plans, and report observations to Program Supervisor and Team Manager. Essential Job Functions Assure the safety and well‑being of individuals served. Circulate and implement directives from Program Supervisor. Maintain records and reports, including incident and medication logs. Assist in staff training and scheduling. Communicate effectively with staff, guardians, and stakeholders. Implement therapeutic environment strategies and provide crisis prevention training. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum six months of direct care experience in human services. Experience with individuals who have intellectual, developmental, or behavior disorders is preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Good judgment and discretion. Ability to work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Knowledge of basic care techniques, behavior support, and personnel management. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform daily living tasks. Valid driver’s license and insurance; ability to obtain a Missouri Class E license.
