TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Washington, Washington DC, 20032!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical/Surgical Tele Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years RN experience required, 1 year Med Tele Acute Care Inpatient experience required, 2 years Cerner experience required License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state/district required prior to start Certifications: NIHSS, BLS, ACLS required, BSN highly desired Must-Have: Must live 50 miles away Description: Must complete a Telemetry rhythm interpretation test prior to start. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:5-6. There are 16 patients on the unit, so two nurses may have 5 patients each and one nurse may have 6. Fulfills the needs of patients, families, and the community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. Delivers care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner. Applies knowledge of growth and development over the life span necessary to provide age-appropriate care. Demonstrates the ability to obtain information and interpret information in terms of the patients' needs. Demonstrates an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients. Makes initial assessments and determines appropriate nursing needs of assigned patients, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. Performs initial and ongoing assessments on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. Completes admission assessments in the time frame established according to policy and procedures.
