You will partner with Purchasing, Planning, Materials, Supply Chain Management, and Business Unit leadership to support customer requirements, improve supplier performance, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and supply chain optimization.You will also provide supervision, training, and support to Purchasing staff within the workcell while contributing to Jabil Supply Chain Management initiatives and strategies.What will you do?Select suppliers based on overall cost and benefit, including price, duty, freight, flexibility, service, performance, quality, and terms and conditions.Monitor, track, and provide feedback on supplier performance related to overall cost, delivery, and quality.Communicate Jabil expectations to suppliers and conduct supplier audits/visits, certifications, and performance reviews to develop and continuously improve the supply base.Understand suppliers, their capabilities, market trends, and technologies for assigned commodities.Ensure workcell Purchasing and Planning staff have the appropriate training, tools, and resources to successfully perform their job functions.Provide supervision and training to staff within the workcell.Assist the hiring manager by participating in recruiting and hiring activities.Support, execute, and provide input to improve Jabil Supply Chain Management initiatives and strategies.Supervise decisions related to component and material acquisitions, ensuring reliable sourcing options from the Approved Manufacturer’s List (AML) and appropriate options for the business.Negotiate terms and conditions that protect the best interests of Jabil and its customers, including liability terms, special stocking arrangements, and other agreements outside standard Jabil terms and conditions.Work with Planners and Buyers to control stocking and track excess and obsolete materials.Partner with Materials Quote Analysts to quote new and existing materials.
