CT Technologist - Weekend Days - 2 x 12The CT Technologist I performs routine computed tomography (CT) examinations in accordance with established protocols, policies, and safety standards, with guidance as needed.Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities, with or without an accommodation, may result in disqualification from the position.Utilizing core knowledge, skills, abilities, and available resources, provides safe, high?quality, efficient, and patient?centered care and support services under routine or emergent conditions. Care is delivered under appropriate supervision across a variety of settings.Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician?ordered exams to support appropriate imaging.Safely administers contrast per protocolDemonstrates the ability to recognize basic imaging artifacts and implement corrective measures independently or under guidance.Effectively communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and the care team to support desired clinical outcomes and service standards.Accurately transfers images and associated data to designated systems, completes basic technical documentation, and prepares studies for physician reporting.Carries out operator?level quality control checks, cleaning, high?level disinfection, and basic equipment maintenance per manufacturer instructions and regulatory requirements.Accurately document in EMR/PACSActively participates in continuing education, professional development, and research initiatives to maintain competencies and advance quality of care and treatment practices.Supports inventory tasks as needed to help ensure supplies are available.Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications Level I:Education: Graduate of an accredited imaging, radiology or nuclear medicine program as defined by ARRT or Completion of JRCERT accredited Military Educational Program is accepted in lieu of other educational requirements.Experience: No prior CT experience required.License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire. ARRT(RT) certification required within 12 months of hire.Minimum Qualifications Level II:Education: Associate's Degree required.Experience: At least 3 years of CT experience required.License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire. ARRT(RT)(CT) certification is required upon hire.Minimum Qualifications Level III:Education: Associate's Degree required.Experience: At least 5 years of CT experience required.License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire. ARRT(RT)(CT) certification is required upon hire.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Foundational knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, basic radiologic technology concepts, and CT?related terminology. Applies core CT theory, practices, and techniques to perform examinations and complete basic post?processing, analysis, and documentation with general supervision or assistance.Communication skills to exchange basic information with patients, families, and team members.Ability to prioritize and complete assigned clinical and non?clinical work tasks with guidance and direction, progressively developing independence in managing routine responsibilities.Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain composed in stressful situations with guidance and support, progressively developing effective coping and prioritization skills.Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomyKnowledge of and ability to apply HIPAA guidelines and standards.Ability to work as part of a diverse team and communicate effectively with others.Displays consistency and dependability by reporting to work as scheduled.Ability to be sensitive to patients' physical and psychological needs.Ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes.OU Health is an equal opportunity employer.
