The Building Maintenance Technician supports the daily operations of residential and commercial properties by performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and safety inspections. This role ensures buildings remain safe, functional, and well-maintained for tenants, staff, and visitors.

Building Maintenance Technician Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $18.00 to $20.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm )

• Perform routine repairs on doors, windows, flooring, drywall, locks, and fixtures
• Replace filters, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with licensed technicians when needed for both residential and commercial HVAC systems
• Address leaks, clogs, running toilets, and minor pipe repairs for both residential and commercial plumbing systems
• Replace outlets, switches, lighting, and troubleshoot minor electrical issues
• Conduct scheduled inspections of building systems, equipment, and common areas
• Ensure fire alarms, emergency lighting, and safety equipment meet code requirements
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and professionally, providing excellent customer service
• Maintain accurate logs of completed work, inspections, and supply inventory

Building Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Demonstrated technical knowledge in general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC basics
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, capable of interacting effectively with tenants, vendors, and property managers
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs occasionally and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, climbing, and standing for extended periods
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
