Role Description The Cardiac Electrophysiologist Instructor is responsible for teaching and mentoring students in cardiac electrophysiology and related cardiovascular topics within HCC’s health sciences programs. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and delivering lectures, labs, and clinical simulations; developing and updating course materials and assessments; and providing clear guidance and feedback to support student learning. The instructor collaborates with colleagues to align curriculum with current clinical practices, participates in program evaluation and improvement, and maintains accurate records of student performance. The role also involves holding office hours, advising students on academic progress, and upholding college policies and professional standards. This is an on-site role located in the Washington DC–Baltimore Area, requiring regular presence on campus and in instructional settings. Qualifications Strong clinical knowledge and experience in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Electrophysiology, with the ability to translate complex concepts into effective instruction. Comprehensive understanding of Cardiology and Medicine, particularly in the diagnosis and management of cardiac arrhythmias and related conditions. Background in Vascular and cardiovascular physiology sufficient to support integrated teaching across cardiac and vascular systems. Current certification in Cardiac Electrophysiology (e.g., RCES, IBHRE) or licensed cardiovascular professional (e.g., RCIS, RN with EP experience). Prior teaching, precepting, or clinical education experience, preferably in a community college or allied health program. Demonstrated commitment to inclusive pedagogy, cultural competence, and supporting diverse student populations. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and clinical partners.
