Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse for a Monday through Friday, day shift schedule. This role involves providing specialized care in a pre/post-unit supporting Cath lab, EP lab, PV lab, and interventional radiology procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient care by monitoring arterial and venous access sites, ensuring hemostasis, and managing radial and ulnar access patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for Same Day PCI and other interventional procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation within EPIC electronic medical records and oversee telemetry monitoring for select patients.
• Exhibit charge nurse responsibilities, including supervising staff and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols.
• Monitor and respond to patient needs promptly, providing post-procedural care and ensuring patient safety throughout shifts.
• Float to various campus locations as required, adapting to different patient populations and unit needs.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent telemetry experience in a cardiac stepdown or similar setting.
• Valid active nursing license in the state.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Proven experience with EPIC EMR system and managing arterial/venous access procedures.
• Demonstrate understanding of care for arterial and venous access patients, including hemostasis management.
• Charge RN experience preferred.
