Join to apply for the Investment Accountant - Senior Analyst role at UTIMCO 3 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Join to apply for the Investment Accountant - Senior Analyst role at UTIMCO The Investment Accountant (Senior Analyst or higher level) on our Operations, Accounting, and Reporting (OAR) team will be involved in a wide range of investment accounting and operational activities across multiple asset classes - cash, domestic and global equities, fixed income, real estate, natural resources, hedge funds, and private investments. Broad Responsibilities Include : Fund Accounting and Operations - Prepare supporting workpapers and reports to support both internal and external client’s informational needs including but not limited to: Monthly accounting close processes Private Investment and Hedge Fund monthly valuation/pricing processes Monitoring private investment activity (calls and distributions) Monitoring and preparing public and hedge fund investment activity (calls and distributions) Consolidation processes Monthly, quarterly, and annual investment reports Bank and external fund manager reconciliations Audit work papers and other information Management and performance fee calculations and payments Monitor and facilitate derivative trades and associated collateral Investment Performance - Performs analytics and prepares supporting workpapers and reports for internal and external client’s needs including but not limited to: Investment manager returns Alpha and Value add versus manager benchmarks Attribution reports Individual Endowment Accounting - Maintain and provide support for subledger accounting systems and reporting for underlying unitholders in the various funds including but not limited to: Monthly/Quarterly addition and redemptions Monthly/Quarterly distributions Client and donor reporting Charitable Trust Tax Returns and Reports - Prepare tax forms and associated donor reporting as required Organizational Health - Build relationships across the OAR team and all other UTIMCO teams to foster an excellent culture within the organization Work Independently - Utilizes experience and knowledge to work through more complex issues and assignments with minimal supervision; take full responsibility for assigned tasks Team Resource - Utilizes experience and skillsets to answer questions raised by Analysts Ad Hoc Project and Reporting Requests - Participation in projects and preparation of special ad hoc reporting requests as assigned Requirements : A bachelor’s degree in accounting Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in public accounting or other financial services accounting role Display understanding of team workflow processes Display working knowledge of applications and technology tools used in team workflow processes Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities Elevated attention to detail Strong verbal and written communications skills and presence to communicate effectively Preferred Qualifications : MBA or CPA NOTE: Our office operates fully in-person, five days a week Click here to learn more about UTIMCO’s mission and impact Equal Opportunity Employer The Investment Accountant (Senior Analyst or higher level) on our Operations, Accounting, and Reporting (OAR) team will be involved in a wide range of investment accounting and operational activities across multiple asset classes - cash, domestic and global equities, fixed income, real estate, natural resources, hedge funds, and private investments.
