What You'll Do

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a busy OR specializing in robotics, neuro, transplant, and general surgeries
• Circulate during a variety of complex cases; scrub experience preferred but not required
• Ensure patient safety and support the surgical team throughout procedures
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and compliance standards
• Assist with unit support including anesthesia, RT, and support staff as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation within Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Comply with hospital policies regarding call shifts, weekends, and holidays

What You Need

Required:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of perioperative nursing experience, including robotic surgeries and neuro or transplant cases
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam

Preferred:

• OR scrub and first assistant experience
• Neuro-spine, neuro-vascular, or transplant experience
• Cardio/thoracic surgery background
