Maintenance Engineer (Entry Level or Associate) Company: The Boeing Company, Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Engineer to join the Maintenance Engineering organization in Seal Beach, CA. The organization is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving aircraft maintenance programs and technical instructions to ensure safe, compliant, and cost‑effective operations across the entire product lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and enhance aircraft maintenance programs and technical publications, including task cards, scheduled requirements, and repair procedures. Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with engineering teams, customers, and internal stakeholders to create practical maintenance solutions while balancing safety, readiness, and lifecycle costs. Support troubleshooting and corrective actions for scheduled maintenance tasks and operational issues. Contribute to training, maintenance planning, and field execution consistency. Assist with the development and maintenance of maintenance tooling, data management systems, and ground support equipment. Participate in industry and continuous improvement activities, including engineering verifications, certification support, and modification kit development. Team Assignments (Based on Business Needs) Maintenance Programs Engineering – Supports program development, continuous improvement, and compliance with FAA and other regulatory authorities. Airplane Maintenance Engineering – Analyzes engineering designs, defines maintenance requirements and procedures, and conducts engineering analysis. Retrofit Engineering – Manages engineering design changes and Service Bulletin integration, develops modification kits, and travels to customer sites for implementation. Component Maintenance Engineering – Develops component repair, overhaul, and Component Maintenance Manual information for off‑wing component maintenance. Maintenance Ground Operations Support – Designs and sustains ground support equipment and tooling for servicing, maintenance, and overhaul. Work Authorization 100% onsite at Seal Beach, CA. Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Material Sciences). Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of related work experience or equivalent education and experience. Familiarity with aircraft maintenance practices and regulations. Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) License. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, teamwork, and conflict‑resolution skills.
