How you'll make an impact in this role Ascension St. Vincent is actively seeking a board certified Cardiac Surgeon to join our team in the Indianapolis Indiana location. Responsibilities include all aspects of adult cardiac surgery, with an emphasis on cardiac transplantation and mechanical circulatory support. Join an established team of physicians and APPs Call structure: Join our team of 5 established surgeons, 3 of which participate in heart transplant surgery. On-call schedules are rotated evenly amongst the group 1:4 for transplant call 1:6 for primary surgical call Practice setting: inpatient/outpatient/mix The largest Transplant & VAD program in the state Ranked in Heart Transplant surgery outcomes. As a leader in heart transplant and mechanical circulatory support, our program has been accredited as a Center of Excellence and is certified by the Joint Commission. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
