Health Care Technician I (S)The Julian F. Keith Alcohol & Drug Abuse Treatment Center (JFK ADATC) is currently accepting applications for a Health Care Technician I/Admissions. Responsibilities for the Health Care Technician I/Admissions position include but are not limited to:Act as the primary host in welcoming clients to the facility, assist the Nurse in the Admission Process, orient the patients to the unit, meal and medication times, their rights, and their responsibilities.Manage the milieu on the unit through close observation and interaction with all patients.Work closely with patients and have the ability to use Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) approved de-escalation techniques, to ensure the safety of patients and staff by completing required CPI training.Collect lab specimens, assist in emergency procedures under the direction of an RN and maintain equipment supplies and forms. He/she will assist the Medical Staff by sitting in on exams as needed. Maintain dietary supplies for the unit.Keep client's rooms free of clutter. The facility treats individuals with substance abuse and psychiatric diagnoses.
