Job Title Correctional Advanced Practice Nurse / Psychiatric / Mental Health Organization Rehabilitation & Correction – Northeast Re‑Integration Center Work Location Northeast Reintegration Center 2675 East 30th, Cleveland, OH 44115‑5943 Primary Location United States – Ohio – Cuyahoga County – Cleveland Compensation $57.53 Schedule Part‑time (32 hours per week) Union 1199 Job Summary Provide direct psychiatric and mental health care to incarcerated offenders, including assessments, diagnosis, medication management, behavior support, and collaboration with medical and correctional staff. Conduct clinical supervision and consultation for nurses and mental health staff, maintain documentation, and participate in treatment planning, quality improvement, and workforce development. Responsibilities Provide direct psychiatric/mental health care, in person or via videoconferencing, including assessments, diagnoses, and medication management. Perform mental health evaluations of offenders to determine diagnoses and treatment options. Prescribe psychotropic medication as needed. Order, interpret, and analyze laboratory reports and findings. Collaborate with medical services staff to ensure integrated care. Document all clinical encounters and medication management appointments in the health record per DRC policy. Participate in treatment planning and meetings with the treatment team for caseload inmates. Offer psychiatric/mental health care services to offenders incarcerated in correctional institutions. Provide clinical supervision and consultation to registered nurses and other mental health staff. Receive clinical supervision from collaborating physician regularly. Serve as member of behavioral health staff in developing goals, standards, policies for mental health programs. Participate in continuous quality improvement activities. Maintain clinical competency. Qualifications Valid license as Registered Nurse; completion of an advanced level practice nurse program (Clinical Nurse Specialist or Certified Nurse Practitioner) in psychiatric/mental health specialty; certification by Ohio Board of Nursing with valid certificate of authority and prescription authority per ORC 4723.
