Veterinary Assistant

Join our team at Animal Care Center Of Salem as a Veterinary Assistant! We are looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about animal care and wants to make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners. At our clinic, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced veterinarians and support staff who are committed to providing the highest quality care to our furry patients. We are a busy 5 Dr. Practice seeking a full time assistant. 

Daily Responsibilities:

• Assist with rooms and animal restraint
• Prepare surgical equipment 
• Provide care for small animals and monitor anesthesia
• Educate clients on pet health and wellness
• Monitor patients during recovery and provide post-operative care

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of preventive care and client education
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
• Ability to adapt in stressful situations 

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with anesthesia monitoring and fear-free techniques
• Knowledge of digital radiography and fluid therapy
• Ability to perform surgical preparation and monitoring
• Skills in cystocentesis and fecal flotation

Salary and Benefits: 

Benefits start after your 90 days. 

• Minimum Salary: $30,000.00
• Maximum Salary: $33,000.00
