Physical Therapist

Conduct a physical therapy plan of care to facilitate the rehabilitation of patients who are suffering from disabilities caused by disease, injury, dysfunction, or other physical, cognitive, or perceptual limitations. Evaluate patients, establish appropriate treatment goals, plan treatments, carry out treatment plans, and document evaluations and treatments in an accurate and timely manner. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Physical Therapy Attendants according to state laws and department work instructions. Assist in areas such as budgeting, setting yearly department goals, revising work instructions, providing in-service training and education, and improving patient satisfaction survey scores. Support Physical Therapy promotional activities and program development. Supervise and mentor volunteers and/or students in adherence to department work instructions and guidelines. Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Exhibit the ability to problem-solve and facilitate resolution to issues. Manage multiple priorities and make independent decisions. Display empathy by understanding others' perspectives and treating them with compassion. Exert up to 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, 25-50 pounds of force frequently, or 10-20 pounds of force often. Possibility of exposure to electrical equipment, blood contact, mechanical equipment, chemicals, and infectious disease.
