Associate Engagement Coordinator

1221 South 203rd Street - Omaha, Nebraska 68130 Position Summary The Associate Engagement Coordinator is dedicated to driving the employment life cycle for the store they are assigned. They will primarily be responsible for the creation and execution of internal employee engagement initiatives to drive a people‑first culture, supporting the hiring process, orientation, training, safety, compliance, and driving excellent store communications. Responsibilities Manage the full‑cycle recruiting process in Workday—posting jobs, conducting interviews, and coordinating final interviews with store leadership. Complete job offer and onboarding processing through Workday. Set up and conduct orientation for the store as needed. Own partnership with the local HR Business Partner to post or add hiring events or resources to staff as needed. Manage the first 90 days of employment for a new hire to validate training and drive engagement, measured by early‑stage retention. Take full ownership of store engagement programs that include daily, weekly, and periodic recognition. Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong written and verbal communication skills. Own compliance at the store/location level. Process timely terminations, I‑9s, minors’ work permits, support scheduling, and Kronos reporting. Own off‑stage locations in store for associate experience—break rooms, offices, training spaces, etc. Serve, on a capacity‑based basis, as the Person‑in‑Charge for portions of weekly schedules. Assume additional responsibilities as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma (Required). College degree or coursework in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related area preferred. One year of Human Resources administrative support experience or HR college coursework required. Strong written and verbal communication, customer‑service skills, and ability to interact with associates at all levels. Attention to detail, strong data‑entry skills, and effective organization, prioritization, and multi‑tasking. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Knowledge of Human Resources principles and practices is highly preferred. Proficient computer skills—including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); prior HRIS/HRMS experience preferred. Ability to manage in a fast‑paced, energetic environment. Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers and lead by example. Commitment to timely responses and attention to detail. Live the core values of serve, have fun, create solutions, and win. Physical Requirements The role may require lifting or moving up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. It requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and turning for extended periods. Exposure to typical retail store conditions, including varied temperatures and moderate noise, and occasional travel may be required.
