Join our company and be part of an innovative team that’s First in Food. Location Description Michael Foods, Inc., located in Bloomfield, Nebraska, is one of our only cage free facilities. The facility is located three miles outside of Northeast Nebraska's busiest community. Bloomfield is a haven for those who prefer small-town life over city living and is located less than 30 miles from recreation areas where you can enjoy fishing, boating, kayaking and camping. Our location produces liquid egg product that is sent to our other facilities for further processing. Responsibilities This position is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems in the processing and production areas. The role must be available to work on scheduled work times, weekends, on call and holidays as needed. Maintain and troubleshoot VFDs and general wiring. Be able to read wiring schematics. Must be able to work weekends. Some on call work required. Responsible for High Voltage System up to and including 480V. Knowledge of industrial wiring. Good mechanical aptitude. Responsible for all electrical system production and processing. Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: One year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. Experience: Prefer 1-2 years of electrical experience. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, installation manuals and governmental regulations. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as amperages, wattages and voltages. Also conduit bending calculations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Other Skills and Abilities: Must be able to terminate control wiring; must be able to troubleshoot low/high voltage control systems; ability to ascend and descend ladders and stairs; ability to communicate effectively; ability to safely lift 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to work in cold, hot, wet, noisy, dusty and humid environments; must have a valid drivers license; ability to work with computers. #J-18808-Ljbffr Michael Foods
