Mechanical Engineer

Position Summary The mechanical engineer shall provide trouble shooting support for all plant manufacturing and facility equipment. They also recommend new equipment and manage projects needed to improve safety, manufacturing and reliability throughout the plant. They also perform administrative duties in the department. Essential Functions Support and drive plantwide predictive maintenance programs Support and manage capital improvement projects Assist in managing maintenance activities in the plant Work with Plant Safety Steering Committee and production department to insure a safe workplace Assist in troubleshooting equipment and conducting root cause analysis Assist in maintaining spare parts and supply room inventory Ensure required training is scheduled and performed Help maintain plant ISO QMS and EMS certifications and conduct internal audits Manage outside contractors performance to the successful completion of engineering and maintenance projects Additional Responsibilities Attend team meetings as required Maintain and manage engineering and maintenance records Weekly payroll and other administrative duties as assigned Performs other duties as required.
