Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Rotating Shifts (two 12-hour and two 8-hour shifts per week) | Days | Start Time: 6:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a comprehensive surgical services environment serving patients of all ages
• Participate in call rotations, primarily involving weekends; overnight weekday call is possible but unlikely
• Work every other weekend and/or as needed based on unit scheduling
• May be asked to float within scope of practice as unit needs require
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EHR system
• Maintain ACLS, BLS, HWC, and NIH certifications as required prior to start

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in Virginia (or compact license eligible)
• ACLS, BLS, HWC, and NIH certifications required prior to start date
• Minimum 1–2 years of OR nursing experience
• Ability to consent to random drug screening and complete a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Orthopedic surgical experience strongly preferred
• 2+ years of OR experience
• Familiarity with Meditech EHR
• Motivated, proactive, and professional demeanor with willingness to seek additional assignments
