Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job

Overview Registered Nurse – PCU (Progressive Care / Telemetry) in Pocatello, Idaho, United States. This travel, temporary assignment is in a hospital setting on a 24-bed Progressive Care / Stepdown / Telemetry unit. Start date: 08/24/2026. Duration: several weeks. Shift: 3x12-hour nights. Weekly pay: $1,790-$1,920 per week. No guaranteed hours. The unit supports adults and geriatrics and operates within a Comprehensive Stroke Center with Level II Trauma and Chest Pain Accreditation, and it is capable of PCI and open-heart surgery. A 100-mile radius rule applies; local candidates are not eligible. Licensure must be State or Compact RN in hand at submittal. Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. Onboarding requires core items and labs to be completed within 48 hours of contract signing, with onsite orientation around 24 hours. Pre-approved time off: 2 shifts. Common diagnoses managed include heart failure, TAVR, CABG, stroke, sepsis, diabetes, renal and respiratory failure. Support services available include IV, PT, Respiratory, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response, Pharmacy, Transport, and Unit Secretary. Key Highlights

Responsibilities - Provide direct bedside RN care for adults/geriatrics on a PCU/IMC unit with telemetry monitoring - Recognize and respond to dysrhythmias; manage telemetry data and patient status changes - Monitor and administer non-titrated vasoactive/cardiac medications as per protocol

• Central and peripheral line care; blood product administration
• Non-invasive airway management (BIPAP/CPAP) and respiratory support as needed
• Collaborate with Rapid Response, Pharmacy, Respiratory, Social Services, and

other teams; participate in emergent cardioversion or central line procedures as indicated Requirements - Active RN license in the United States, state or compact, to be in hand at time of submittal

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience; telemetry/PCU care;

patient ratio typically 1:3–1:4

• Education: RN-appropriate credential (as required for RN licensure)
• Ability to work in a hospital PCU/IMC setting, including night shifts and
