Responsible for coordinating and enhancing the onboarding experience for new hires to ensure successful integration into their role, work team, and company culture. Partners with Human Resources and supervisors to provide a consistent and engaging onboarding experience from pre-hire through the first year of employment. Supports associate engagement through company-wide recognition programs and onboarding follow-up activities while developing relationships with schools, colleges, and community organizations to strengthen recruitment efforts and build future talent pipelines.

Essential Functions:

1. Coordinate all pre-boarding and onboarding activities to ensure new hires are prepared, informed, and connected prior to and following their start date.
2. Continually design and conduct new hire orientation to begin the onboarding process to ensure new hires integrate smoothly into their new roles and the company culture in conjunction with the Technical Training Specialist for virtual orientation.
3. Partner with the Technical Training Specialist to coordinate and facilitate six-month onsite visits for attendees of virtual orientation to strengthen relationships, reinforce company culture and foster organization connection.
4. Monitor onboarding effectiveness through surveys, feedback and retention metrics; recommend improvements to enhance the new hire experience.
5. Administer and coordinate company-wide recognition programs, including Value of the Quarter nominations, service awards, and other recognition activities.
6. Manage planning and execution of bi-annual town hall meetings.
7. Provide and coordinate employee engagement activities for associates in Scottsbluff/Gering; assist with planning and execution of all associate focused events, communication initiatives and engagement campaigns as requested.
8. Develop and maintain relationships with high schools, colleges, and community organizations to promote career opportunities and strengthen the organization's future talent pipeline.
9. Coordinate participation in career fairs, classroom presentations, internship events, job shadow opportunities, and workforce development initiatives.
10. Collaborate with recruiting, hiring managers, and educational partners to create meaningful internship and student engagement opportunities.
11. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Three years' experience in onboarding, training, human resources, employee engagement, education or a related field required.
2. Bachelor's degree in business or education preferred.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate teaching and training methodology.
4. Experience coordinating programs, events or engagement initiatives preferred.
5. Experience building relationships with schools, colleges, or community organizations preferred.
6. Demonstrated human relations / interpersonal skills and ability to work with co-workers, supervisors, other departments and customers.

6. Ability to travel 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

Light Work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
