Description

• Assess patients in either inpatient or outpatient care and develop personalized treatment plans
• Implement physical therapy methods focused on improving mobility, strength, balance, and overall functionality
• Work in collaboration with nurses, doctors, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Guide patients and their families regarding therapeutic objectives, discharge strategies, and home exercise programs
• Record evaluations, treatment sessions, and patient progress in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
• Engage in care team discussions and interdisciplinary meetings to facilitate coordinated patient care

Education

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a comparable qualification from an accredited institution

Certifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist
• CPR certification is preferred
• Special certifications (e.g., in neurological or geriatric care) are beneficial but not required

Skills

• Previous experience is strongly preferred
• Ability to provide care for patients with complex medical conditions and mobility challenges
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
