Clinical Product & AI Lead (Doctor) at Noa, Docplanner

Full-time

Docplanner

Docplanner is a global healthcare platform connecting over 300,000 doctors with approximately 100 million patients monthly across 13 markets .

Within Docplanner, Noa is dedicated to helping people live longer, healthier lives by building AI that assists doctors in:

  • Removing their administrative work.
  • Helping them make better decisions and handle repeatable cases, so they can focus on what matters most.
  • Assisting patients in navigating healthcare using personalized medical history context.

Noa Notes and Noa Evidence are already integrated into doctors' workflows. The next challenge is advancing AI to help doctors and patients make decisions while safely handling repeatable clinical tasks. This role focuses on embedding a doctor’s judgment into the product itself.

About the Role

You will help transition Noa from note-taking and evidence provision to aiding doctors in decision-making, ensuring trust from both doctors and users.

This is not a traditional CMO, advisory, or regulatory role. Instead, it is a hands-on clinical-product role, combining clinician, product, and AI expertise. Your responsibilities include:

  • Incorporating real-world doctor needs, habits, and workflows into the product.
  • Defining the clinical quality of what we ship, ensuring it is correct, useful, and safe, and proving it.

As a doctor yourself, you can engage directly with our users, providing candid feedback that surveys cannot. As the first dedicated clinical hire on the product team, you will set the approach and help grow clinical expertise across Docplanner’s AI product teams.

You will collaborate daily with Product, AI, Design, Engineering, Regulatory, and our network of doctors.

What You’ll Do

Shape What We Build

  • Integrate how doctors actually work (habits, preferences, workflow, and administrative tasks) into the product.
  • Engage directly with doctors, translating their candid feedback into product decisions.
  • Collaborate with Product on the roadmap, determining what to build and ensuring it will be used effectively.

Ensure Clinical Soundness

  • Define the clinical quality standards and intended outcomes for our AI products.
  • Review and refine prompts, model outputs, clinical templates, workflows, and terminology.
  • Identify clinical failure modes, distinguishing between acceptable and unacceptable outputs.
  • Oversee clinical evaluations: decide what to test, across specialties, populations, and edge cases, and set the evaluation bar. You will bootstrap this process with a dedicated owner managing tooling, annotation guidelines, and clinician network participation.
  • Convert model errors and clinician feedback into concrete product and model improvements.

Keep It Safe and Scalable

  • Work with ML/LLM teams, Regulatory experts, and the PRRC to align intent, evidence, risks, and controls, including EU MDR-related requirements.
  • Establish feedback loops with practicing clinicians and our consultant-doctor network.
  • Define how clinical-product expertise scales across future products, teams, and markets.

What We’re Looking For

  • A medical degree with meaningful experience practicing medicine, and a strong understanding of clinicians' day-to-day work. Active licensure and current clinical practice are not required, but recent or ongoing practice is valuable.
  • Experience building and shipping a digital health, clinical software, or AI product , either within a product team or through entrepreneurial ventures.
  • Experience turning clinical problems into product decisions, not just providing advice or review.
  • Strong clinical judgment that translates quality and safety into standards technical teams can use.
  • Ability to quickly earn doctors' trust, acting as a peer who obtains honest feedback.
  • Clear and direct communication across clinical, product, technical, regulatory, and leadership teams.
  • Comfort working at a senior, hands-on level in a fast-paced, international team.
  • Active use of generative AI and understanding of its potential and limitations. Hands-on experience with prompting, evaluation, error analysis, human oversight, or AI-assisted development tools like Cursor and Claude Code is a plus.

Bonus: Experience with ambient documentation, clinical templates, medical-knowledge systems, clinical coding, evaluation datasets, or building and certifying regulated Software as a Medical Device (SaMD).

What Success Looks Like After Six Months

  • A clear clinical quality framework for our priority AI products.
  • Clinically grounded evaluation sets and thresholds in place.
  • A repeatable method to translate medical expertise into better product and model decisions.

Why Join Noa at Docplanner

  • Real impact at real scale: Your work reaches hundreds of thousands of doctors and their patients.
  • Shape what comes next: Influence the future of Noa and Docplanner’s AI products and whether doctors and patients trust them.
  • Ship to learn: Features in front of users are more valuable than additional planning months.
  • Work flexibly: The role is 100% remote, based in Poland or Spain, with regular team gatherings.
